About Drew

After being a respected member of the Assistive Technology (AT) community for more than 25 years, providing assessment, training, and consultancy services in all sectors, I decided to take a different path, and joined a local secondary school (my American friends would call it a high school). I work as an ICT and Digital Media Technician, part-time. It allows me to be around creative and inspirational people, of all ages.

Before I became an AT Consultant, I actually started my working life as a computer technician. That was in the late 1980's (so long ago now, lol), when computers were very different to what they are now. However, I never lost my passion for all things IT, and so going back to a technical roll felt quite natural.

About Drew's Teacher Support Coffee Shop

Firstly, and this bit is actually really sad, there isn't actually any coffee. I know! Why play us that way Drew?

Well, I used to own and run a lovely cafe in Whitby, and we served great coffee. And I mean, Great Coffee! And so, relaxing with a cup of coffee means a lot to me. When coming up with a look and feel for this site, I automatically thought of a coffee shop. Where better to spend a few minutes, either relaxing with a few quizzes, or creating some resources for class.

So, Drew's Teacher Support Coffee Shop it had to be.
