Who is Drew Moya (also known as Andy Clarke)?

After being a respected member of the Assistive Technology (AT) community for more than 25 years, providing assessment, training, and consultancy services in all sectors, I decided to take a different path, and joined a local secondary school (my American friends would call it a high school). I work as an IT and Digital Media Technician, part-time. It allows me to be around creative and inspirational people, of all ages.

In 2018 I wrote a novella called ‘Whitby’. It introduced a pair of characters, Pax and JimU. They are agents that work for ‘Control’, an agency from the future, tasked with protecting time. I really enjoyed the story and over time I started to flesh out a little more as to how the rules of the universe they inhabbit work. This led to me developing a second installment for Pax and JimU, called ‘The Cowboys of Mars’. In this book the intrepid duo face off against an unseen enemy that has reshaped a human colony on Mars, to reflect the American wild west.

In preparation for the release of The Cowboys of Mars (July 2022), I felt that I needed to go back and make important changes to Whitby. And so, in May 2022 I released, ‘Whitby is Lost in Time’. It’s still a novella, and an easy way into the series.

Will there be a third installment for Pax and JimU? You know, I’m not sure. I have a very basic outline that sees the pair arrive at a lodge in the Highlands of Scotland. It’s a place I love, and I think a third book would finish a story ark for these characters. However, I have promised a refresh of ‘The Killer Detective’, before finishing a second book in that series (as always, it’s half written). We shall have to wait and see where the keyboard takes me.
